We are pleased to bring you August, a strikingly vivid print of antique advertising art originally used to sell cigars in the late 1890's.
This colorful image featuring a circus clown balancing a cigar box on his nose and contortionists spelling out “AUGUST” beneath him has been painstakingly restored by the artists at Elm Graphics from an original lithographer's sample, using modern digital graphics software while maintaining strict adherence to the “stipple art” method utilized by the chromolitho artists of the period. Boston Ink and Paper recreates these timeless artworks at 300 dpi on archival quality paper in 12 colors, using the highest quality inks. This 11″ x 14″ poster fits into standard mats and frames.
August is part of our Réplique line of giclée prints, selected for outstanding subject matter, spectacular art and makes for a great conversation piece that goes well with a number of classic decor themes.
