We are pleased to bring you Harlequin, a visually stunning print of antique advertising art originally used on crates of tobacco in the late 1880’s.
Great artwork featuring a jester doing tricks alongside his fellow performers in a Franco-Roman circus. This image has been painstakingly restored by the artists at Elm Graphics from an original lithographer’s sample, using modern digital graphics software while maintaining strict adherence to the “stipple art” method utilized by the chromolitho artists of the period. Boston Ink and Paper recreates these timeless artworks at 300 dpi on archival quality paper in 12 colors, using Canon Lucia inks. This poster is 10″ x 18″ and requires custom matting, but we’ve extended the margins 1″ along each side to fit into standard 12″ x 18″ mats and frames.
Harlequin is part of our Réplique line of giclée prints, selected for outstanding subject matter, spectacular art and makes for a great conversation piece that goes well with a number of classic decor themes.
