Description

We are pleased to bring you The Boston Base Ball Club, a nostalgic print of antique advertising art utilizing our national pastime to sell cigars in the late 1880’s.

This image featuring the 1888 Boston Beaneaters (formerly the Red Stockings and future Braves) playing at the South End Grounds has been painstakingly restored by the artists at Elm Graphics from the U.S. Library of Congress archive, using modern digital graphics software while maintaining strict adherence to the “stipple art” method utilized by the chromolitho artists of the period. Boston Ink and Paper recreates these timeless artworks at 300 dpi on Canon Pro Premium Matte paper in 12 colors, using Canon Lucia inks. This 11″ x 14″ poster fits into standard mats and frames.

The Boston Base Ball Club is part of our Réplique line of giclée prints, selected for outstanding subject matter, spectacular art and makes for a great conversation piece that goes well with a number of classic decor themes.

(note: “The Boston Ink and Paper Co.” is a digital watermark and does not appear on the print.)
